Dr. Ken Zhang graduated from the China Wuhan Medical School in 1962.  He was a research doctor of acupuncture for deaf and mute children as well as school doctor of Shanghai Second Deaf and Mute School from 1971 to 1973.  During that period of time, he strategically enhanced his acupuncture skills by working with world famous acupuncture specialists at the Shanghai Long Hua Hospital.  He practiced as a physician and acupuncturist at Shanghai Jiangsu Hospital from 1974 to 1980 after which he immigrated to Canada.

From a family background of natural medicine, Dr. Jackie Zhang has been inspired by her father since a very young age.  She started her apprenticeship in the art of acupuncture and Chinese medicine as a teenager.  After observing patient after patient enter the clinic in pain and after receiving treatment seeing them leave with a smile, she decided to pursue a career in natural healing.  She attended Old Strathcona Academic high school and later enrolled in the University of Alberta.  She graduated from one of the leading Chiropractic schools in North America, the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 2002.  In chiropractic school, she successfully completed the Clinical Acupuncture program certified by the Acupuncture Council of Ontario.  After graduation, she studied under Dr. Li Ping Fu, chief of the acupuncture department at the prestigious Rui Jin Hospital in Shanghai, China.  In Shanghai she was also taught by the chief of the Famous Doctors Clinic, Dr. You Yi Zhen who considerably furthered her knowledge of acupuncture.
